The workshop sponsor is expected to provide a proper venue for quilt workshop instruction, including table space for sewing machines and workspace for layout / cutting, and pressing stations, as follows:

  • A table (6 to 8 ft. long) for demos

  • A table (6 to 8 ft. long) for displaying samples

  • Chalkboard/chalk or easel/chart paper/markers where participants can see from their chairs

  • Table space for participants, preferably 4 to 6 feet each

  • Plenty of adequate power supply and light

  • Water source

  • Outside access easily available (only applies to some workshops)

  • Garbage cans available

  • Name tags

If instructor is traveling by air to workshop location, please also provide for her use:

  • Sewing Machine: Preferably a Janome 6500 or 4800

  • Cutting mat

  • Iron and ironing board

  • Extension cord(s)

Additional specialty tools may also be requested, depending on workshop choices.
